Xboxic:Rules
From Xboxic
Xboxic is a highly interactive site. User input is possible and even highly regarded on frontpage, Wiki and forum. This page lays down the basic rules of conduct by which your behaviour on any section of this site shall be judged. Anyone capable of applying some common sense to online behaviour should find them blindingly obvious, but they are here just to make the point for those with a bit less common sense. If you are new to participating in online communities, do read the Wikipedia article on netiquette first, it is an excellent guide to the unwritten online rules.
The Rules
- Modifying or hacking consoles is illegal, just like downloading copyrighted software, music or videos without complying to the appropriate license. Do not ask for help, do not share the knowledge, because we do not want to know, and you will get a ban.
- Do not flame or troll. Either may lead to a ban, or if you are lucky you get a warning. One.
- When someone is flaming, do not take the bait. You will cause a flamewar and then you are flaming yourself. See the previous rule.
- Inappropriate content, including but not limited to shocking, violent and sexual imagery, do not belong on this site. Other sites are happy to show it. We will be happy to make sure you never post it here again.
- We like our Xbox or Xbox 360. And we appreciate people liking their PS2, PS3, Gamecube or whatever else. Xboxic has no place for fanboys, so if you feel like spouting unargumented crap on any subject matter just because you like something else better, your post or article shall be removed. And perhaps your user account as well.
- Any form of recruitment and advertising, either commercial or non-commercial, is considered spam if it did not pass through our regular advertising channels. Spam does not belong on this site. We will help you out the door.
- Ban evasion is nasty. If we ban you, we mean it, and we really do not want to see you back with another account or another IP. Every ISP in the world considers ban evasion on web sites a gross misconduct on your part. We know how online IP registries work, and we know how to mail an abusedesk. You will neither be the first or the last guy that had his internet connection shut down because of such behaviour.
In any situation the judgment of the Xboxic crew is final, even if this conflicts with the rules defined above.
