Most recent updates to the upcoming Halo 3 include new weapons, a new vehicle and the unveiling of three new multiplayer maps, Valhalla, Snowbound and High Ground.

The new weapons that are currently in the build and hopefully will make it to the final game are the Spartan Laser, Spikers (a brute style pistol with a blade for melee), a new Nail Grenade which does damage in one direction after sticking to a surface, and a re-tooled Assault Rifle from Halo: CE which has a 32 round clip, is automatic (unlike the battle rifle from halo 2) and is currently not scoped.

The new vehicle is the Mongoose, which was planned for Halo 2 but removed during the final phases of the build. And though not a vehicle, in multiplayer they have included a "Man Cannon" to move players and some objects around a map faster.
