Overview

Hexic HD is an addictive arcade game provided for free on the hard drive supplied with Xbox 360 System packages. It was created by the designer of the original addictive Tetris game.

The game is played on a hexagonic grid filled with gems of different colors. You can rotate groups of 3 gems to make combinations. The most basic combo is when 3 gems of the same color touch eachother, these will then disappear. A more advanced combination is the flower where 6 similar gems surround one different gem. These will collapse into a single star. Creating a flower with these stars yields a black pearl. Creating a flower of black pearls wins the game. You can also win the game by matching 3 black pearls together.

Several variations on the theme are supplied, such as timed and survival challenges.
