Thanks for checking out this page! It means you are interested in contributing to the Xboxic Wiki database, which is always a good thing. However, before you enthousiastically start adding lots of information, please do take the time to read through these basic rules.

  • Adhere to the rules: The general rules of conduct of the site can be found here. We can ban you from the Wiki as easy as from the rest of the site.
  • Research first: If you are writing a new topic, make sure we do not have an article yet using the search on the left. If you're contributing to a topic, make sure you're adding new information. In either case, make sure you are adding correct information. Check your sources. Then double-check them. When editing or deleting existing articles, do add a triple- and quadruple-check. Then do what you wanted to do.
  • Be impartial: If you cannot write impartially on a subject, do not write about it. If you think Call of Duty 2 was the lousiest game on earth, that is your honest opinion, but it should not be in an online encyclopedia of Xbox-related subjects. The reviewsites loved it and 75% of the Xbox 360 buyers bought it, so it is widely acclaimed.
  • Write correct English: When in doubt, use a spellchecker. Any word processor worth its dollars has one, and there are many free online alternatives.
  • Use consistent layout: We have defined many templates to help you in creating pages that look similar. Two articles about two different games should differ in content, but should both have similar sections and layouts applied to them. When in doubt, find an existing page and use its source as inspiration. For example, Call of Duty 2 is a game article mostly finished, so use its source as inspiration when adding new articles.

If you follow these 5 simple rules you will be a worthy contributor to the the Xboxic Wiki database. Thanks in advance for your contributions!
